Kristina is a senior studying Chemistry with minors in Nuclear Engineering and Spanish. Her interest in plasma began in 2022 when she heard about its use in nuclear medicine and began working in Dr. Stapelmann’s lab. She mainly works on the closed-loop control system for plasma medicine, focusing on detecting chemical species generated in the plasma via bio-electrochemical sensors. Her work includes characterizing the plasma devices, measuring RONS concentrations, and working with live fungi species/cell media. Kristina hopes to continue her education post grad by pursuing a PhD in Chemistry.
