Welcome to NE-GSA
The Nuclear Engineering Graduate Student Association (NE-GSA) at NC State University is a student-run organization dedicated to fostering a strong academic and social community among graduate students in the Nuclear Engineering Department. We champion student interests, organize professional and social events, and serve as a bridge between students, faculty, and administration.
NC State’s Nuclear Engineering Department has a rich history as the oldest nuclear engineering program in the nation, home to the first university-operated reactor and training program. Today, we are the largest nuclear engineering department in the country, with 28 faculty, over 180 graduate students, and a similar number of undergraduates. We are also ranked third nationally by U.S. News & World Report.
