Noah Simon

Master's Student

About:
Noah Simon is a Master’s student in the FPAC lab. Noah completed his undergraduate studies in Nuclear Engineering at North Carolina State University and is now completing his graduate research as a part of the Accelerated Bachelor’s/Master’s (ABM) program.

Research Interests:
Noah’s research focuses on computational modeling, simulation, and analysis of plasma systems. Starting as an undergraduate, Noah has worked on projects ranging from experimental data processing to the development of models for various plasma mechanics in high and low temperature plasmas.

Current Projects:
Noah is currently working on the development of plasma chemistry models for fusion systems. His work leverages the Zapdos application contained within the Multiphysics Object-Oriented Simulation Environment (MOOSE) framework being developed at Idaho National Laboratory.

Outside the Lab:
Outside of his work, Noah enjoys folding origami, cooking new recipes, and discovering new bands to listen to.
