Graduate Research Asst

I am a third-year Ph.D. student in Nuclear Engineering at North Carolina State University with a background in Electrical Engineering. Broadly, my research focuses on integrating plasma science and spectroscopy to develop in-situ diagnostics for elemental and isotopic analysis in extreme environments, such as Molten Salt Reactors (MSRs). I am particularly interested in contributing to test platforms, such as the molten salt loop, that enable continuous monitoring of salt behavior, corrosion processes, and sensor performance.

My current project is developing a compact sensor that utilizes atmospheric plasma glow discharge to perform real-time analysis of materials, offering a promising pathway for rapid diagnostics and remote deployment in extreme environments. Outside the lab, I like hiking with my dog, fishing, and building Warhammer 40K tabletop models.
