He is working on a funded research project of measuring short-lived fission product yields from photon-induced fission of Special Nuclear Materials. In addition, he is also investigating the energy dependence of fission product yields. The research project is being funded by the National Nuclear Security Administration under the Stewardship Science Academic Programs hosted at Duke University’s Triangle Universities Nuclear Laboratory. He is currently under the advisement of Dr. Robert Hayes in the Retrospective Dosimetry and Nuclear Assay laboratory.

Innocent earned a B.S.in Radiation Technology/Health Physics from Alcorn State University in Mississippi in 2014. He also received M.S. degree in nuclear engineering from Texas A&M University in 2016.

Before he transitioned into graduate student, he worked as a Medical/Health Physicist at the Duke University Medical Center and other medical facilities.
