Patrick is a doctoral student in his sixth year at NC State and his first year in the RDNA Group.  He is currently researching novel radiation shielding materials for space and waste applications while assisting Dr. Robert Hayes on the DOE’s Consent Based Siting project. After earning his Ph.D. he is planning to finish his education in spring of 2025 and enter industry with a nuclear shielding startup.
