Erin Shannon is a dedicated graduate student in the School of Social Work, where she also serves as a research assistant under the guidance of Dr. Robert Hayes. As the Event Coordinator for the Consent-Based Siting Consortia, she plays a key role in organizing impactful workshops and events, ensuring meaningful engagement in important spaces.
Before pursuing her Master of Social Work, Erin earned two Bachelor of Arts degrees in Psychology and German Language and Studies from East Carolina University, completing both in just three years with a 3.7 GPA. She is set to graduate with her MSW in Spring 2026 and aims to obtain her LCSW to launch a career as a therapist in the Behavioral Health field, where she hopes to make a lasting impact on individuals and communities.
