Five US Department of Energy scholarships awarded to NC State Nuclear Engineering students

Congratulations are in order for five NC State Nuclear Engineering undergraduate students. They are the recipients of the U.S. Department of Energy University Nuclear Leadership Program (UNLP) scholarships, valued at $10,000 each, in support of nuclear science and engineering
educational pursuits.

More than $5 million in scholarships and fellowships are provided through the Office of Nuclear Energy’s (NE) University Nuclear Leadership Program (UNLP) and include 61 undergraduate scholarships and 28 graduate fellowships for students at 32 colleges and universities in 23 states. UNLP was previously known as the Integrated University Program (IUP). Since 2009, the program has awarded more than 900 scholarships and fellowships totaling approximately $55 million. Awards are scheduled to be finalized by July 31, 2022.
