The US News & World Report published their 2020 rankings and, by discipline, NC State’s Nuclear Engineering Graduate Program is #3 (#3 in 2019).
Departmental highlights include,
- Partnering on the US Department of Energy-funded Center for Low Temperature Plasma Interactions with Complex Interfaces
- Constructing a Fission Gas Loop, Hot Cell Facility & Ultra-Cold Neutron Source
- Developing a minor in plasma science & engineering, graduate certificates in health physics and nuclear reactor engineering, graduate concentrations in plasma science & engineering and nuclear materials
- Organizing the 2020 ANS Virtual Student Conference, 2020 IWCPT, 2020 INGSM, 2021 ANS Student Conference, ANS M&C 2021, 2021 TRTR, 2021 Sherwood Theory Fusion Conference and the IWM 2021
Twenty-two (22) tenured and tenure-track faculty members strong, conducting research in:
