Dear Alums & Friends,
NC State Nuclear Engineering turns 70 this academic year and we need your help on our NC State’s Day of Giving: Stronger as a Pack. Help us celebrate 70 years with a total of $700,000 in contributions.
These donations will help us –
- Establish a Nuclear Engineering Center for Student Learning & Innovation, addressing challenges that require collaboration and thinking outside of the box among students, professional staff, faculty, & industry.
- Expand scholarships & fellowships to attract & retain students with a passion for nuclear science & technology; and,
- Create endowed professorships to help attract & retain the best & the brightest, assisting us in being the go-to-department on nuclear matters.
Your gift to the Nuclear Engineering Enhancement Fund gives the department the flexibility to respond quickly to urgent needs the College and its students are facing. That means we can fund critical research, provide financial aid for a student who can no longer afford college, support international students, make our labs safer in response to COVID-19, or invest in new programs for the department.
This Day of Giving 909.16) brings together the College of Engineering to raise support for our 9 department enhancement funds. Our joint efforts will allow students to walk away with a richer experience and preparedness. Each gift will move the College up the leaderboard and help us secure more prize money at the end of the day.
You are not only providing financial support — you are showing our students that the Wolfpack is present, investing and believing in them, during these challenging times.
Join NE in proving we are #StrongerAsAPack.
Sincerely,
Dr. Kostadin Ivanov, Department Head
Nuclear Engineering
P.S. By making your gift today, you will have double the impact and help the College and our students receive even more critical funding through leaderboard prize money – thank you for your support!
