Kerrigan takes 2nd place in the American Nuclear Society ‘Pitch Your PhD’

Congratulations to NC State’s nuclear engineering doctoral student Sean Kerrigan.  At the American Nuclear Society (ANS) 2nd annual Pitch your PhD Competition, Sean placed 2nd.

Students were asked to give a three-minute presentation, captivating an audience of their peers who voted for the best pitches.

Kerrigan’s work is on “Development, Fabrication and Testing of Wireless Non-Intrusive AIN-based Piezoelectric Sensors”.
His faculty adviser is Dr. Mohamed Bourham.

The competition was co-sponsored by the Young Member Group (YMG) and Education, Training and Workforce Division (ETWDD) at the ANS Winter Meeting in Washington DC.
