Upcoming GPWR Users’ Meeting Hosted by NC State’s Department of Nuclear Engineering

We’re pleased to announce the date and location for 2017’s much anticipated GPWR™ User Group Meeting. Please join all of our GPWR user’s from academia, the national labs and the commercial nuclear market as we share best practices and usage studies for the GPWR full-scope nuclear power plant simulator software.

This year’s Users Group will be held June 29-30, 2017 in Raleigh, North Carolina. We’re grateful to our friends at North Carolina State University for hosting this year’s meeting at their impressive facilities.

The program will feature many case studies and will enable you to:

  • Gain up-to-date knowledge of the latest GPWR instructor functionality
  • Learn about the latest research being conducted with the GPWR
  • Identify the lessons learned from other University’s research projects before conducting your own

Speakers at the meeting will be selected from the current GPWR users, a sample of which is below.  Each presentation will be centered on the research/curricular use of the GPWR:

  • UNIVERSITY OF CENTRAL FLORIDA (CONFIRMED)
  • VIRGINIA POLYTECHNIC INSTITUTE (CONFIRMED)
  • AUGUSTA TECHNICAL COLLEGE (CONFIRMED)
  • IDAHO NATIONAL LABORATORY (CONFIRMED)
  • SANDIA NATIONAL LABORATORY (CONFIRMED)
  • INSTITUTE FOR ENERGY TECHNOLOGY, HALDEN, NORWAY (CONFIRMED)
  • … and many more

The program will also focus on networking, enabling attendees to discuss and share their experiences in an informal environment. Our hope is to develop a lasting sense of community around the GPWR that will allow users to continue to share their experiences and best practices throughout the year.

This is a free, invitation only event for GPWR users and those that are interested in how their research or training can be improved with the use of the GPWR. Please feel free to forward this invitation to colleagues or peers that you think would be interested in attending.
