The Department of Nuclear Engineering will host a Workshop on “Accident Management: Emerging R&D Needs and Approaches” on August 23-25, 2016. The event brings together sixty researchers from academia, industry, national laboratories and government to discuss emerging needs, technical challenges and opportunities for R&D and collaboration on advanced modeling, experimentation, and analysis of beyond design basis accidents and accident management.

The Meeting is organized by the NCSU’s Department of Nuclear Engineering and the Center for Nuclear Energy Facilities and Structures (CNEFS), with support from Idaho National Laboratory through its National University Consortium (INL-NUC) program.
