{"id":1042,"date":"2026-01-27T13:53:53","date_gmt":"2026-01-27T18:53:53","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/ne.ncsu.edu\/mix\/?p=1042"},"modified":"2026-01-28T13:54:51","modified_gmt":"2026-01-28T18:54:51","slug":"second-nsuf-rte-award-for-sadman-sakib","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/ne.ncsu.edu\/mix\/second-nsuf-rte-award-for-sadman-sakib\/","title":{"rendered":"Second NSUF-RTE Award for Sadman Sakib"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>Sadman Sakib&#8217;s proposal submitted to the FY 2025 RTE 2nd Call titled \u201cImpact of irradiation induced defects on thermal conductivity of zirconia\u201d has been selected for\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/nsuf.inl.gov\/\">Nuclear Science User Facilities (NSUF)<\/a>\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/nsuf.inl.gov\/Page\/rte\">Rapid Turnaround Experiment (RTE)<\/a>\u00a0award. This project aims to systematically quantify how radiation-induced defects affect thermal conductivity in tetragonal zirconia (t-ZrO2), a key phase in the oxidation layers of zircaloy cladding used in nuclear reactors.
