The Microscopy and Microanalysis (M&M) 2025 conference is the largest scientific meeting and gathering of microscopy and microanalysis professionals, academics, technicians, students and exhibitors in the world. It provided a forum for the presentation and discussion of a wide range of microscopy and microanalysis techniques and their application to the biological and physical sciences.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This year’s TMS was held in Las Vegas, NV from March 23 – 27, 2025. It featured more than 100 symposia covering topics related to minerals, metals, and materials science and engineering. Bobby and Rashed, along with Dr. Lingfeng had the chance to visit it. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The 10th Annual Molten Salt Reactor (MSR) Workshop (Nov 5 – 7, 2024), a leading forum for the advancement of molten salt technology, convened government, academia, and industry experts to discuss the latest MSR research and development programs, technology advancements, international collaborations, and the progress of demonstration efforts. Lexi along with Dr. Lingfeng attended this workshop to gather insights and meet with the wonderful community of MSR research.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n

Nuclear Engineering Department Advisory Council (NEDAC) Annual Meeting 2024

NEDAC meeting is held every year where great minds of nuclear engineering community gather together at NC State University. A part of the program allows graduate students to showcase their works and meet these people. Sadman attended this segment and got a chance to present his work “In-situ ion irradiation of spent UO2 fuel” through a poster.<\/p>\n<\/div>

Attendees can engage in technical presentations, panel discussions, and networking sessions that cover a broad range of topics, from additive manufacturing and materials processing to environmental solutions and advanced characterization techniques.
