Abstract
The Nuclear Engineering Department at North Carolina State University is honored to host a former NCSU alumni and executive from the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) for an information and recruiting briefing. This event offers a unique opportunity for students and faculty to gain valuable insights into the critical role of the NRC in ensuring the safety and security of nuclear technologies, as well as potential career opportunities within this esteemed federal agency.
The U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission plays a pivotal role in overseeing the safe and responsible use of nuclear materials and technologies in the United States. This information and recruiting briefing will provide attendees with:

Biography
Dr. Kimberly Ann Webber is an engineering executive with 26 years of experience working for the Nuclear Regulatory Commission with over 18 years of safety analysis and licensing experience involving high-level waste disposal, spent fuel storage and transportation as well as operating and new reactors. She is currently the Director of the Division of Systems Analysis in the NRC’s Office of Nuclear Regulatory Research. In that position, she is responsible for directing NRC’s research programs associated with fuel performance and source term analyses, reactor systems analyses, accident consequence analysis, and radiation protection and health physics. She manages an engineering staff of over 60 employees who develop and maintain broad technical expertise, evaluate experimental data, and develop numerical simulation analyses tools needed to provide the NRC with the ability to make reliable and technically sound regulatory decisions. She is an NCSU alumni who received her MS degree in Nuclear Engineering in 1992 and PhD degree in Materials Science and Engineering in 1997.
