He received his B.S., M.S., and Ph.D. degrees in Nuclear and Radiological Engineering from the Georgia Institute of Technology. He was a post-doctoral researcher jointly at the University of California, Davis and the University of California, Berkeley. Before joining the NC State faculty, he was a computational scientist in the Computational Microstructure Science group in the Fuels Modeling and Simulation Department at Idaho National Laboratory. I received my Bachelor of Science in Nuclear Engineering from the University of Dhaka. I was involved with the Bangladesh Mathematical Olympiad and worked on a few projects under the organization. Currently, I am working on quantifying the material properties of new nuclear materials using atomistic simulations. I got my B.Sc. and M.Sc. degrees in Nuclear and Radiation engineering from Alexandria University. Before joining NCSU, I was a research assistant at the American University in Cairo in the materials theory group. Now, I am a graduate student in the nuclear engineering department and a research assistant in the computational nuclear materials science group. Then I flew to Milan, Italy where I\u2019ve earned my M.Sc. During my master\u2019s journey, I decided I want to continue my studies in the track of nuclear material. After that, I served as a data analyst in the Egyptian Air Defense Forces, and then worked as a physics teaching assistant at the University of Science and Technology at Zewail City, Egypt. Additionally, I have been an undergraduate fellow of the Nuclear Nonproliferation Education and Research Center (NEREC), KAIST, South Korea. During my studies, I gained research experience in the Computational Materials Engineering Lab, using Molecular Dynamic (MD) Simulations to explore organic solar cell materials. This sparked my passion for sustainable energy and led me to pursue graduate studies in Nuclear Engineering. I have industry experience at NextEra Energy in Nuclear Fuels and Wind Reliability, at Duke Energy in Nuclear License Renewal, and at Dominion Energy as an Advanced Reactors Engineer.
